Coronavirus (COVID-19) / Direct Wire Operational Update

To Our Customers and Key Business Partners:

This update from Direct Wire outlines our support of customer and governmental efforts to help contain COVID-19. The proud employees of Direct Wire have a history of supporting disaster recovery. Our team supplied electrical and power cable to assist recovery efforts for Katrina, the hurricane damage in Puerto Rico and Haiti, Hurricane Sandy, Hurricane Harvey, the earthquake in Japan, the Nashville tornadoes and California fires.

Consistent with the PA state guidelines about essential industries we are proceeding as follows:

1. We will continue to produce and supply power cables, products and support for emergency power operations. This includes cable for health care power delivery and generation, temporary power locations, backup power, standby power, wind and solar power distribution and resupply to electrical distributors as their inventory is drawn down.

2. We will continue to produce and supply products to support the Oil and Gas, Mining and Pipeline industries focusing on sustaining infrastructure, installation, safety and distribution during the current oil shock and historically low oil prices.

3. Internally, we value employee safety as our number one goal. To that end, we have implemented all CDC directives including social distancing, which includes sending all employees whose duties permit home and equipping them with digital tools to operate safely, cordoning off sub-areas in our factory to keep employees apart from each other, accelerating industrial hygiene with continuous throughout the day sanitation, and self-quarantining any employees who have traveled internationally for the recommended 14 days. Any employees who have any sickness symptoms are being asked to stay home.

4. In addition to the safety procedures we have implemented, all employees on duty now have volunteered to staff production. Our employees have been through disaster support before and want to be part of the solution as we all seek to safely navigate the current situation. Our ownership has focused for more than a decade on building a great American company with employees who are proud to work here. Our team believes we can make a difference and is ready to help.

This is obviously a fluid situation. We are cooperating and have been in communication with governmental authorities and will advise of any changes. At this point we are focused on supporting your needs as the whole country focuses on keeping all of us safe and helping our country get through this episode.
